"Town of scoundrels" Art Journal

Znalazłam kiedyś komiczne zdjęcie, które należało użyć w jakimś projeckcie:)

Ostatnio skojarzyło mi się z fragmentem "Martwych dusz" Gogola:

"Znam ja ich wszystkich: same łajdaki; całe miasto takie. Łajdak na łajdaku jedzie i łajdakiem pogania. Wszyscy judasze. Jeden tam tylko jest porządny człowiek: prokurator; ale i ten, prawdę mówiąc, świnia"

I found a hilarious photo once, had to use it in some project. 

Recently it reminded me of a quote from Gogol's "Dead Souls":

"Yes, I know them all, and every one of them is a swindler, and the town a nest of rascals engaged in robbing one another. Not a man of the lot is there but would sell Christ. Yet stay: ONE decent fellow there is—the Public Prosecutor; though even HE, if the truth be told, is little better than a pig.."
