I entered the challenge by Nik the Booksmith with my all time favourite Fyodor Dostoyevsky and his short sentimental story "White Nights".
I printed a lot of old postcards, graphics, paintings from XIX century
Sankt Petersburg where the story takes place. I decided the book to be a
lifetime journal of the main character the Dreamer, so it also contains
pictures form other places where he lived or travelled later, such as
Moscow and Warsaw. There are a few portraits of his favourite writers,
and his familly members (as I imagined them:) ), fragments of poems and
quotes from the story itself, some floral accents, pieces of old
fabrics, book covers being journalling cards, prints of authentic XIX
century literary magazine etc.
It has got six signatures. All papers are coffee and tea dyed.
The cover's made of cardboard with a mix media touch:)
Hope you'd like it:)
A flip thru:
It also goes to Mini Albums Makers
This must have been a real labour of love, it is a beautiful album, I enjoyed seeing every single page in your video and imagining the story unfold. The pictures and fragments of poems just add to the overall beauty of the album. A stunning piece of work!
